FGF2-STAB has been proven efficient for wound healing!

Enantis‘ key product FGF2-STAB® has been verified to have a regenerative potential in wound healing.

In the recent publication (find HERE) from CEITEC – Central European Institute of Technology Brno University of Technology and Burns and Plastic Surgery Department at Masaryk University Brno University Hospital Brno, it has been shown that FGF2-STAB® crosslinked with collagen/chitosan scaffolds can be successfuly used in wound healing applications. Also, the safety and biocompatibility of such FGF2-STAB®-containing scaffolds have been highlighted.

This is extremely encouraging for other Enantis projects!

Bára Cihlová is a young Czech scientist who has been admitted to Oxford University to study viral enzymes. Unfortunately, the studies in Oxford are not just extremely difficult but also financially demanding, especially after Brexit when the fees for EU-based students quadrupled. Thus, Bára decided to raise money for her studies by an unconvential but efficient way – crowdfunding https://www.donio.cz/baracihlova.

Enantis decided to support her campaign financially and would like to highlight this case to other individuals and companies who might be able to help this bright student. Who knows, maybe Bára will make a breakthrough in her science career and help us all in return!

A few months ago, we have announced the successful licensing of our innovative product, FGF2-STAB, to a global partner in stem cell culturing reagents business. Our patented molecule has been improved by protein engineering approaches to achieve elevated thermostability and to retain its biological activity for longer time.

The story of how it happened, what exactly are the licensed growth factors and what it means for both Enantis and Masaryk University has been published and is available here:

Protein engineering course

After the last year’s successful event, Loschmidt Laboratories and Enantis organise another Hands-on Computational Enzyme Design Course

The first event was really popular and Enantis gained valuable customers who decided to source the professional versions of software from us. The list of software we provide can be found here: https://lnkd.in/dBqUXWg

We are looking forward to online-meet this year’s cohort and hope they have a great time and learn a lot!

Here is the course website for anyone interested in attending: https://loschmidt.chemi.muni.cz/academy/

Jan Herudek joins Enantis team

Recently, there has been a new addition to Enantis team. Jan Herudek has joined our ranks as a Molecular Biologist who will be responsible for the pre-clinical testing of our engineered molecules. Jan will be a great reinforcement for Enantis team, especially as more and more of our projects are steering towards medical applications.

Jan is an accomplished scientist with a broad international experience. He has spent more than three years at the Aarhus University in Denmark studying molecular biology and genetics to help better understanding of non-coding RNAs. Also, he has been awarded prestigious grants from Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds and SoMoPro – South Moravian Programme for Distinguished Researchers aimed at scientists returning to South Moravia from research institutions abroad. Jan has joined us after spending four years at CEITEC – Central European Institute of Technology.

We hope he will be happy amongst us as we strive to have not just highly professional, but also well-balanced and friendly team.
